No — you can use EmeraldChat as a guest. Registering (it's free) lets you follow people, send messages, keep preferences, and pick up where you left off.
Any modern phone or desktop browser — Safari, Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. There's nothing to download. You can also add EmeraldChat to your home screen so it opens like an app.
Matching and the opening moments of a call are free. Longer calls, gifts, and some preferences use coins (see Coins & billing). You're always shown a cost before anything is charged.

When you start, you join a live queue and are paired at random with a woman who's online at that moment. Every match is a private 1-on-1 call — never a public room.
Tap Next for a new match, or End to stop. There's no penalty or cooldown for skipping.
Yes — follow someone you've met, then start a call directly from their profile the next time they're online.
Coins are the in-app credit that keep a call going beyond the free opening, and let you send gifts or unlock preferences like region. There's no subscription — you top up only when you want to.
Never without warning. A short notice appears before a call moves from the free window into using coins, so you're always in control.
Open the recharge/top-up screen from your balance and choose a package. If you registered, your balance stays with your account.
Guests can start matching right away. Registering (free) unlocks following, messaging, saved preferences, and keeps your coin balance tied to your account across devices.
Yes. Once you've met someone, you can send them messages in chat and follow them so it's easy to reconnect.
Register or log in with the same account and your profile, follows, and balance come with you.
Tap Report during a call — it disconnects you immediately and flags the account for our 24/7 moderation team. Blocked users won't be matched with you again. More on the Safety page.
A weak connection can end calls early. Switch to stronger Wi-Fi or move closer to your router, and avoid large downloads during a call.
Reload the page, update your browser to the latest version, or try a different browser. Clearing the site's cache can also help.
